Inter Set To Meet With €9M Rated Valentino Lazaro’s Agent Today Amid Interest From Newcastle & Benfica, Italian Media Report

Inter will meet with the agent of Valentino Lazaro today, with the club hoping to clarify the player’s future for next season.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the player has attracted interest from Newcastle United and Benfica, and is valued by the Nerazzurri at €9 million.

Lazaro joined Inter from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019, but failed to cement a starting spot for himself, going out on loan to Newcastle in the second half of his first season at the club before returning to the Bundesliga to join Borussia Monchengladbach last season.

It is not thought that the Austrian is part of the Nerazzurri’s first team plans for next sale, and he is for sale should the right offer come along.

Newcastle are among the clubs interested in the 25-year-old, with the Tyneside club considering bringing him in on a permanent basis after having previously had him on loan for half a season.

Meanwhile, Portuguese giants Benfica could also look to buy the player, with the Lisbon-based club having already signed former Inter midfielder Joao Mario in this window.
