Inter winger Ivan Perisic has tested negative for COVID-19, having made a full recovery.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Croatian can begin the process of re-joining the rest of the squad once he is done with his vacation.
Perisic tested positive for COVID while at the Euros with Croatia, and was unfortunate to miss out on the nation’s round of sixteen clash with Spain due to the need for him to self-isolate, after having shone in the group stage for his national team.
The 32-year-old was not thought to be suffering from any severe symptoms despite the positive test, and is believed to have made a full recovery.
The player will hope to put the disappointment of missing out on a key match with his national team behind him as he returns to training with his clubmates this summer.
