Inter could face a transfer decision with midfielder Nicolo Barella, with strong interest in the 24-year-old from the Premier League and offers possibly on the way.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who report that Liverpool are ready to present a €70 million offer for the player, while their rivals Manchester United are also considering the player a target.

The Nerazzurri have indicated that no more major sales are on the way this summer with Achraf Hakimi having departed for Paris Saint-Germain, and manager Simone Inzaghi has been promised a strong squad with no significant departures.

However, should the club’s resolve be tested by blockbuster offers for the midfielder, they could face a complicated decision about the future of a key player.

Barella is thought to be one of the most valued players at the Giuseppe Meazza for the future off the back of two seasons of excellent performances, but he is also coveted by other major European clubs, especially after his form at the Euros, and Liverpool could be the first club to try and dislodge him from Inter.
