English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up a move for Inter’s Milan Skriniar.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the London club are interested in the Slovak as a possible defensive reinforcement for new coach Nuno Espirito Santo, though the player prefers to stay at Inter.

Skriniar’s fine form for Inter over the past several seasons has attracted interest from clubs around Europe, with the 26-year-old having shone as part of the backline in Antonio Conte’s Scudetto-winning side last season.

Tottenham have been credited with an interest in the Slovak in the past, and could make a move for him as they look to strengthen the defensive options in their squad, although Sevilla’s Jules Kounde is currently reported to be their top target.

The English club could face difficulty bringing Skriniar in, however, as the player is happy at Inter and his preference is to stay on with the Nerazzurri.
