Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta is considered a target for Inter, with the club seeing the Italian as a backup option in case they are unable to sign Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri have not ceased their interest in the 29-year-old.

Bellerin is currently reported to be the highest-priority target in the Nerazzurri’s search to replace Achraf Hakimi after the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain, but negotiations with his current club Arsenal could be difficult for the club and they are still keeping other options in mind.

Zappacosta is admired by the Nerazzurri for the quality of his performances in Serie A, having spent seasons on loan with Roma and then Genoa since joining Chelsea from Torino in the summer of 2017.

Should a deal not be reached for Bellerin this summer, the club could decide to make Zappacosta their main right-sided target.
