Inter are preparing a contract extension for Slovak centre-back Milan Skriniar, and are hoping to secure the 26-year-old’s future at the Giuseppe Meazza.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the player will be offered a new contract which includes a salary increase to reward his good performances and keep him happy with the Nerazzurri.

Skriniar joined the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2017 from Sampdoria and has been a consistent performer, with last season among his best as he formed part of a formidable defensive trio with Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.

The Slovak’s performances have attracted attention from major European clubs, particularly in the Premier League, and the Nerazzurri will offer him an extension to make certain his status as an Inter player amid possible offers for the player.

Skriniar, for his part, is happy in Milan, and wants to remain with the Nerazzurri going forward.
