Inter are loking to secure midfielder Nicolo Barella’s future at the club by offering him a new contract, amid interest from other top European clubs.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 24-year-old is a target for Premier League clubs Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea.

Barella’s form since joining the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2019 has attracted admirers, and his appearances for Italy at the Euros as the Azzurri won the tournament are thought to have accelerated the interest of a number of clubs.

However, the Nerazzurri are determined to keep the midfielder, with his contributions on and off the pitch seen as vital.

To ensure that the player is happy at the club and to warn off other interested parties, the club are hoping to have a new deal signed with the midfielder, whose current contract expires in the summer of 2024.

It is thought that his salary, currently a net of €2.5 million per season, will rise to €4 million per season plus add-ons under the terms of the new deal.
