Cagliari could sign Inter midfielder Lucien Agoume on loan for next season, with the Rossoblu in discussions with an agent for the player.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that there is also a possibility of the 19-year-old departing on loan for a French club, though for now his priority is to sign a contract extension with the Nerazzurri.

Agoume has been reported to be in talks with the club over an extension to his contract this summer, with the club seeing him as a potentially important contributor for the future and wanting to secure him past the expiration of his current deal.

The player, for his part, is thought to want to commit to the Nerazzurri, and is currently training with the rest of the squad at the pre-season training camp, where he hopes to make a positive impression on head coach Simone Inzaghi and will await the manager’s appraisal of him.

The Frenchman could depart on loan for next season, with Cagliari as a possible destination.

Rossoblu Sporting Director Stefano Capozucca is reported to have been in talks with Oscar Damiani, an intermediary representing the player, today, about the possibility of his arrival at the Sardinian club.

Meanwhile, the player’s agent Djibril Niang has also been in contacts with clubs in France, raising further possibilities for the player’s immediate future.
