Inter wing-back Valentino Lazaro has turned down Benfica as a possible destination for next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Austrian is also the subject of interest from the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

Lazaro is currently in isolation after having tested positive for COVID-19, although he is not showing any symptoms and has not been in contact with any teammates, and is hopeful of being able to return to training soon.

The Austrian has been linked to Portuguese giants Benfica in recent weeks, with the Lisbon-based club thought to be offering to take the player on loan as they look to reinforce the right-sided options in their squad.

However, the player is not interested in a move to the Portuguese club, and prefers to wait for offers from elsewhere, with clubs in England and Germany thought to be tracking him.
