Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has been discussing Inter’s transfer dealings as the summer progresses ahead of Inter’s friendly against FC Lugano, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media earlier this evening.

Whilst speaking to Sky Sport, Beppe Marotta played down the rumours that Inter are in advanced discussion to sign Nahitan Nandez from Cagliari on a loan deal with an obligation to buy the Uruguayan permanently.

“Nandez is a player of Cagliari and of great respect; we have not entered into a negotiation and I do not see one on the horizon quickly and quickly.”

The CEO also discussed the role that Federico Dimarco can play for Inter in the upcoming season. The man who spent last season at Hellas Verona has been heavily linked with a move away from Inter, potentially as a makeweight for another player.

“Dimarco represents the present and the future of Inter. Inzaghi observes it: it could be a reality of the present and of the season.”

Beppe Marotta refused to go into too much detail on players such as Hector Bellerin and Alex Telles out of respect for their existing clubs. Another player that he did not speak too much about despite being asked was Keita Balde.

“Here, too, what I said about the others applies: he is not ours, I don’t know if he is on the market. We are evaluating.”
