PSV Eindhoven defender Denzel Dumfries appears to have become the most popular candidate at Inter to become the replacement for Achraf Hakimi, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, the list of candidates has become increasingly long and technical meaning a replacement could take some time to sign. Of the players on the list though, the Dutchman is the favourite.

Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez has been the major topic of conversation around Inter this week as he looks set to join Inter. His versatility though means that another right-back signing could be made to more directly replace Achraf Hakimi.

Hans Hateboer of Atalanta is a name that has been touted a lot, along with Lazio’s Manuel Lazzari. Another is Denzel Dumfries who had an excellent Euro 2020 for The Netherlands.

A figure of around €20 million could still be required though to buy him.
