One of the reasons for Inter appointing Simone Inzaghi as head coach is his ability to make peace with players in heated situations, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Simone Inzaghi represents some much needed calm and stability after the fiery end to Antonio Conte’s time in charge of the Nerazzurri.

Simone Inzaghi will get his first experience of being on the touchline for Inter this evening as his team take on FC Lugano in their first pre-season friendly of the summer.

Despite the ex-Lazio bosses reputation for being a calm individual who does not actively cause trouble, La Gazzetta dello Sport also makes it clear that he is not someone who will be bossed around.

He has been making it very clear to Inter that after Achraf Hakimi’s departure, he does not expect another big name such as Marcelo Brozovic or Lautaro Martinez to leave the club.
