The agent of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is still laying the foundations of a move to Spain as contract talks with Inter are yet to begin, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport today, Lautaro Martinez and the Nerazzurri are yet to sit down and discuss an extension to that player’s deal that runs out in 2023.

The player would like to sign a new deal but he wants more money than had been previously arranged with his former agent. Last season the Argentine earned €2.7 million but he feels his contribution to the team warrants a higher wage.

His agent has a lot of connections in Spain and has been discussing the player with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona but no club looks able to afford him this summer.

Atletico did previously bid €40 million but that was rejected by Beppe Marotta.
