Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez could join Inter using the same transfer format that Nicolo Barella did when he made the same move, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by FcINternews, talks are progressing very quickly between Cagliari and Inter to bring the Uruguayan to the Nerazzurri, and the deal is most likely to be a loan with an obligation to buy for a pre-agreed fee.

This is the same way that Nicolo Barella joined Inter from Cagliari back in 2019. He had one season on loan before the move became permanent.

This type of move is becoming more common around Europe due to the financial effects of coronavirus. Clubs are looking to spread the costs of their transfers.

The Sardinian club and Inter have been linked all summer long with Radja Nainggolan trying to force a move and now Dalbert heading to Sardinia as well.
