Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan could hold the keys to Inter’s pursuit of Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, according to a report in the Italian print media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Cagliari are exploring ways that they can acquire the Belgian midfielder whilst facilitating the loan deal for Nahitan Nandez to head to Inter.

The way in which the Sardinian club attempt to do this though may not be very popular with Inter. The Nerazzurri want to stop paying Radja Nainggolan’s salary completely as they are trying to reduce the wage budget by 15%.

Cagliari’s proposal though is that Inter pays all of Radja Nainggolan’s salary should he join Cagliari, in return for a cheaper deal for Nahitan Nandez.

This development shows that a move for the Uruguayan is not imminent as many different types of discussion are ongoing.

The sale of Radja Nainggolan to the club he has spent the last two years on loan at has been rumbling on all summer.
