A player from FC Lugano has been speaking very highly of Inter and particularly Federico Dimarco after the two sides faced in a friendly on Saturday night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Whilst speaking to Radio Sportiva, Reto Ziegler explained how it is always a pleasure to play against Inter during pre-season, as the two teams traditionally do. He also suggested that he was disappointed in his side for failing to hold onto the 2-0 lead.

“Always nice to face them, the 2-2 is a good result. It’s a shame not to have kept the advantage, but the Nerazzurri are strong on inactive balls and they showed it.”

The Swiss player then went on to speak very highly about Inter left-back Federico Dimarco, who has caught the eye of many fans and professionals after his performance against FC Lugano.

“Dimarco deserves a chance in the first team.”

Federico Dimarco spent the last 18 months on loan at Hellas Verona where he became a much more mature and skilled player under Ivan Juric. He has been linked with a move away but now looks set to be a part of Simone Inzaghi’s side.
