Inter youngster Martin Satriano has discussed the qualities of Lautaro Martinez and how they have helped him improve his own game after scoring against FC Lugano last night, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Whilst speaking to Inter’s official TV Channel, the young Uruguayan striker expressed how delighted he was to score the equaliser for Inter that took the friendly to a penalty shoot-out.

“For me it is a huge emotion. playing with this shirt, alongside these champions: I’m really happy.”

The 20-year-old was then asked if current Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is an inspiration to him. The response showed that Martin Satriano has a huge amount of respect and admiration for the Argentine striker, who has just won Copa America with his country and is now on holiday.

“He is certainly one of Inter’s best players, in Appiano also last year I watched him closely during training to learn as much as possible”.

Inter were 2-0 down in the first-half against FC Lugano but Danilo D’Ambrosio pulled a goal back just before halftime. Martin Satriano then scored an excellent equaliser and Inter when on to win the contest on penalties.
