Two Inter midfielders did not do much to suggest they should be part of Simone Inzaghi’s plans next season during the pre-season friendly against FC Lugano, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, Lucien Agoume and Radja Nainggolan did not endear themselves to Simone Inzaghi or the club’s executives during the game and could soon find themselves leaving the club.

Lucien Agoume spent the previous season on loan at Spezia and was impressive. Many have tipped him to eventually be the long-term replacement for Marcelo Brozovic at the base of Inter’s midfield.

His performance left something to be desired though in the win over FC Lugano, as he failed to properly command the midfield and have any effect on the game.

As for Radja Nainggolan, it was very clear that his head is already in Sardinia as he seeks his move to Cagliari.
