Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez has said yes to his possible move to Inter after his agent held talks with the Nerazzurri, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported today by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the agent of the Uruguayan, Pablo Bentancur, met with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio yesterday to discuss the transfer in more detail.

Negotiations between Inter and Cagliari still remain difficult as it is not completely clear if Cagliari are willing to let the player leave on loan with an obligation to buy, or if they would rather secure a permanent deal.

The 25-year-old has a €36 million release clause and the Cagliari President, Tommaso Giulini, has recently discussed his unwillingness to sell players if the bid does not match the club’s valuation of the player.

Inter may wish for a lower final price than the €36 million that Cagliari have set.
