Inter could look to bring in Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez on loan this summer, with the versatile Uruguayan considered by the club to potentially be a solution in both midfield and at right-wing-back.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will look to sign the 25-year-old on a dry loan, and could offer players in return.

Despite being thought of as a central midfielder by trade, Nandez proved last season under Cagliari manager Leonardo Semplici that he can also perform well in a wide right-sided role, and this has led to him becoming a target to replace Achraf Hakimi at Inter.

However, the operation for the player can only happen if it is economically feasible for the Nerazzurri, who are facing budget constraints as they look to restrict spending and meet financial targets in the summer.

To this end the club could look to bring the player in on loan with no obligation to redeem this summer, facilitating a deal by either offering players in return (though the Rossoblu are not thought to be interested in such an arrangement at the moment) or with the inclusion of a fee of around €2 million.
