Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez looks set to join Inter this summer, and the player has rejected offers from the likes of Leeds United and Arsenal to do so.

This according to Italian news outlet la Repubblica, who report that the Uruguayan has made up his mind that he wishes to join the Nerazzurri, and only an agreement between clubs is needed for the switch to happen.

The Nerazzurri have stepped up their interest in Nandez in recent days, and now are reported to have agreed personal terms, with the versatile midfielder thought to be considered an option partly because he can fill in proficiently on the right side of the team, replacing the contributions of Acrhaf Hakimi.

The likes of Leeds and Arsenal also pursued the player, but he declined the Premier League duo as he prefers to remain in Italy and move to Inter.

Nandez’s current club have promised his entourage to make every attempt to honour his wishes by giving him a move to the Giuseppe Meazza, and the Nerazzurri will hope that they can soon have an agreement wrapped up with the Sardinians for a paid loan with an option to buy.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoblu met earlier this afternoon, with the two clubs also thought to be in talks about a number of other potential moves, and they will work to get the deal done before the end of the transfer window.
