Dalbert’s move from Inter to Cagliari is expected to go ahead soon despite the temporary delay.

This according to Italian news outltet L’Interista, who report that the Brazilian is set to make his final agreement with the Rossoblu very soon, and was only kept with the Nerazzurri squad to make up the numbers for a friendly against Lugano.

Dalbert is not thought to be a player with a future at Inter and, having spent the past two seasons out on loan with Fiorentina and then Rennes, he now looks set to join Cagliari on loan with an option to buy.

It had been thought that a deal could have already been finalized by now, but the player was instead kept with the Inter squad in training for long enough that he could be involved in a pre-season friendly against Lugano, with the squad short of players.

However, the 26-year-old is freed up now, and is expected to join Cagliari in the next day or two.
