Inter would like to sign PSV’s Denzel Dumfries or Atalanta’s Hans Hateboer as replacements for the departed Achraf Hakimi, but would be unlikely to afford either.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Dutch duo are out of the Nerazzurri’s price range and that lower-cost options are likelier to be prioritized.

The Nerazzurri are looking to step up their search for a right-sided player to take the place of Hakimi after the Moroccan’s sale to Paris Saint-Germain.

A number of names have emerged as possible targets for the club in this search, with the objective being to find a player with the right technical profile to replace Hakimi’s contributions on the pitch while also keeping within budgetary constraints.

As such, while Dumfries and Hateboer are admired by the Nerazzurri for their qualities on the pitch, they are for the moment unrealistic targets due to the finances involved in deals for them.
