Inter are considering bringing in Barcelona right-back Sergino Dest, but would only do so on loan with an option to buy.
This according to Spanish news outlet Sport, who report that the 20-year-old would be allowed to depart the Camp Nou this summer and that the Nerazzurri are among the clubs chasing him.
The Nerazzurri are looking to replace Achraf Hakimi after his departure for Paris Saint-Germain, and US international Dest has emerged among the list of names who could arrive to replace the Moroccan.
It is thought that the Blaugranas are looking to offload players this summer, and that with the return of right-back Emerson Royal from his loan with Real Betis, Dest could be one of the players pushed out of the squad.
Should Dest depart, the Nerazzurri are interested in bringing him in, but would only consider doing so on the formula of a loan with an option to buy, while they would face competition for his signature from Bayern Munich among other clubs.
