Radja Nainggolan will soon depart Inter, with the Nerazzurri set to give the player a severance payment in order to facilitate his move to Cagliari.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corierre dello Sport, who report that the Belgian’s transfer saga is close to reaching its end.
It has been thought for some time that Nainggolan is not in the plans for next season at the Nerazzurri, and that the club are hoping to offload the gross €8.5 million wages owed on the final year of his contract.
The 33-year-old spent the second half of loan with Cagliari, and it is thought that his preference is to remain in Sardinia on a permanent basis.
The Rossoblu want the player as well, although the process to finalize the deal had hit a stumbling block over the player’s demand for severance pay as an incentive to terminate his contract with Inter.
However, the Nerazzurri appear to be ready to meet this demand, and will grant severance pay to the Belgian midfielder in order to make sure that a move happens and that he is able to leave the club and the wage bill for Cagliari.
