Romelu Lukaku will re-join the rest of the Inter squad on Sunday when his vacation is over.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Belgian striker is set to reconvene with his teammates during the Florida Cup.

Lukaku is still on vacation, having participated in the Euros with Belgium up until the nation were knocked out by eventual winners Italy at the quarter-final stage of the competition.

The 28-year-old will be enjoying his time off after a lengthy and exhausting season followed by the exertions of the Euros, but he is close to being ready to begin preparations for next season.

This weekend the striker will not only link back up with his teammates, but he will also meet new head coach Simone Inzaghi for the first time.

Lukaku and Inzaghi have already spoken over the phone to begin planning for next season, but this will represent the first in-person opportunity for the pair to work together, alongside the rest of the Nerazzurri squad.
