Young Inter striker Martin Satriano has spoken about his desire to succeed in an Inter shirt, and praised teammate Lautaro Martinez as a personal inspiration to him.

In an interview published in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, the 20-year-old opened up about the successful pre-season he is having with the Nerazzurri senior squad.

The immediate future for Satriano is not yet known, with a number of clubs throughout Europe thought to be interested in taking the player on loan for next season, and a loan move possibly ideal for the player’s development in first-team football.

However, with the quality shown by the Uruguayan in pre-season, capped off by an impressive goal in a friendly against Lugano, the possibility of him remaining as a rotation option available to Inter manager Simone Inzaghi is not off the table.

The player, for his part, wants to succeed in a Nerazzurri shirt, now or in the future:

“For me it is very emotional to play in this shirt, alongside these champions. I am also really happy about the goal. Of course I am inspired by Lautaro, he is one of the best Inter players. In Appiano Gentile last year too I watched him closely during training to learn as much as possible.”
