Marcelo Brozovic has returned to training with Inter after his participation in the Euros and subsequent vacation.

According to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, the Croatian midfielder has enjoyed the start of pre-season training, and has established a good rapport with new head coach Simone Inzaghi.

Inzaghi has stepped in to the role of manager to replace the departed Antonio Conte for next season, but he inherits a squad which was largely of the making of his predecessor in the job.

Brozovic was among the most vital players for the Nerazzurri during the former manager’s two seasons in charge, with his performances in a deep midfield role essential to the Italian’s system as the Nerazzurri won their first Scudetto in eleven years last season.

The 28-year-old looks ready to continue on at this level under the new manager, with the pair having already established good chemistry together, with the player deemed to be highly suitable to the new manager’s tactical approach.
