Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez could become an Inter player in the next few days.

This according to SportItalia transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla, who reported on his show moments ago that the two clubs hope to have negotiations wrapped up for the player’s loan move soon.

The Nerazzurri have stepped up their pursuit of the versatile Uruguayan in the last several days, with the player seen as a potential replacement for Achraf Hakimi after the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain.

The 25-year-old wants a move to Inter, and has already agreed personal terms for the switch.

It is thought that the clubs are working towards a formula for a deal which would see the Uruguayan join the Nerazzurri on loan initially before an option to buy, thought to be Inter’s preferred format for a deal.

It is reported that the deal could include players going the other way, with the Rossoblu thought to be interested in Nerazzurri striker Andrea Pinamonti among other players, although it remains to be seen whether the deal ends up being structured in this way.
