Inter Still Monitoring Situation Of Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta, Italian Media Report

Inter remain interested in signing Chelsea wing-back Davide Zappacosta as a replacement for the departed Achraf Hakimi.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old is a target for the Nerazzurri should other options not be feasible.

The Nerazzurri are thought to have made the arrival of a right-sided player who can replace Achraf Hakimi after the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain, and Zappacosta’s name has come up throughout their search.

The Italian, who signed for the Blues in the summer of 2017 from Torino, is not a major player at Stamford Bridge, and it is believed that he could be available for the right price.

Zappacosta has spent the past two seasons on loan in Serie A, with Roma and then Genoa, and is seen as a reliable option with the versatility to cover both sides of the pitch, and the Nerazzurri could still move for him.
