Inter have officially confirmed that they will not be travelling to the US for the pre-season Florida Cup tournament.

This is announced by the club in a post on their official site, where they state that they will not be attending the engagement, joining English club Arsenal in withdrawing.

The Nerazzurri had been scheduled to fly out tomorrow for the event, which would have seen them face off against the Gunners on Sunday and then potentially meet the winners of a friendly between Everton and Millionarios.

However, the Gunners officially announced yesterday that they will not be attending, due to concerns around COVID-19, with several positive tests within their camp.

The Nerazzurri join them in dropping out of the event, with the club already thought to have been considering doing so due to concerns over the Delta variant of COVID-19 and infection rates in the US.

With the health risks now associated with international travel, it is confirmed that the Nerazzurri will remain in Italy rather than travelling to the US tomorrow.
