Romelu Lukaku will re-join the Nerazzurri squad next week regardless of whether the club is participating in the pre-season Florida Cup tournament.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Belgian will convene with his teammates, as will the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Perisic, and Matias Vecino.
Despite pre-season training being well underway, the full complement of Nerazzurri squad members is not yet available to head coach Simone Inzaghi, with several players still on vacation after their exertions at the Euros or Copa America with their national teams.
Lukaku’s itinerary has him joining his teammates at the Florida Cup next week, with the striker currently enjoying his vacation in Miami.
However, should the Nerazzurri withdraw from the event with Arsenal having already done so due to COVID-19 problems, the 28-year-old and several teammates who are still on vacation after their international exertions will still re-join the squad next week, flying to Milan instead.
