Austrian international wing-back Valentino Lazaro wants to stay at Inter for next season, according to the player’s agent Max Hagmayr.

This according to the 25-year-old’s agent Max Hagmayr, who stated to Austrian news outlet Sport Krone that he would like to either remain with the Nerazzurri or find a move to the Bundesliga.

Lazaro joined Inter from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019, but has been unable to nail down a place for himself with the Nerazzurri, spending the second half of his first season on loan with Newcastle United before returning to the Bundesliga to spend last season on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Austrian is not in the club’s plans for next season, and they would like to find a new club for him with a number of teams having shown an interest.

Portuguese giants Benfica are reported to have been among the clubs most closely following Lazaro, although the player is not yet ready to accept their offer.

The player’s agent clarifies his preference, stating that “Statying at Inter is Valentino’s Plan A,” and that other than this the 25-year-old would consider a move to Germany.
