Inter could decide against signing Nahitan Nandez from Cagliari due to his current club’s valuation of the player.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have balked at the asking price brought up by the Rossoblu during negotiations.

Inter are thought to have stepped up their pursuit of the versatile Uruguayan in recent days, with the club having convinced the player and agreed personal terms with him.

Nandez showed last season that despite being a midfielder by trade he can perform very proficiently in the ridght-sided wide poition, having been utilized there by Rossoblu manager Leonardo Semplici, making him an option to replace the departed Achraf Hakimi.

Talks are thought to have accelerated about his possible arrival, but as of today there is no progress, with some distance remaining between the two clubs involving his signature.

Should the Nerazzurri not be able to reach an agreement with Cagliari regarding the right formula for a transfer of the Uruguayan which would be financially viable for them, they could move on to other targets.
