Inter’s Austrian international wing-back, Valentino Lazaro’s agent Max Hagmayr, has spoken on his client’s situation, clarifying that the Austrian has a number of clubs interested in him and has not yet made up his mind about his future.

Speaking to Lisbon-based newspaper O Jogo in an interview published in today’s print edition, the Austrian agent stated that Portuguese giants Benfica are interested in Lazaro’s signature but that they are not the only club.

Lazaro is thought to be in the shop window at the Nerazzurri this summer, with the player not in the club’s plans for next season.

The 25-year-old joined Inter from Hertha Berlin in the summer of 2019, but has been unable to cement a place for himself in the first-team squad, spending the second half of his first season on loan with Newcastle United before returning to the Bundesliga to spend last season on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach.

As Hagmayr states, there are many possible destinations for the Austrian, but which if any he settles on remains to be seen.

When asked about Benfica’s interest in Lazaro Hagmayr responded: “I don’t want to talk too much about it right now, it’s not the right time.

“There is always a possibility, but there are many others big clubs interested. Benfica is a very interesting club, but any negotiations are far from concluded at the moment.

“We are still analyzing all the possibilities, we will have to think. We only speak with teams from the top leagues in Europe.”
