PSV’s Denzel Dumfries is currently the priority target to replace Achraf Hakimi on the right side of the team at Inter.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Dutchman will be signed by the Nerazzurri should they be able to agree the right formula for a deal.

Dumfries has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar for much of the window, with his profile thought to be highly suitable for the end of replacing Hakimi’s contributions after the Moroccan’s departure for Paris Saint-Germain.

Head coach Simone Inzaghi is a big fan of the 25-year-old, and the Nerazzurri remain strongly interested in bringing him in this summer.

The main obstacle to the signing of Dumfries remains the possible finances involved in a deal, but should it prove feasible to bring him in on loan initially then the Nerazzurri will make every attempt to sign him.
