Monaco’s Keita Balde remains the preferred target in attacking positions for Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome0based newspaper Il Messaggero, who report that the manager has asked the Nerazzurri to bring in the Senegalese striker.

The Nerazzurri are thought to be looking for an attacking player to join the rotation in front of goal available to Inzaghi for next year, with a fourth forward in addition to Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, and Alexis Sanchez sought.

Inzaghi likes Balde, with the pair having enjoyed a good relationship while working together at Lazio in both the youth sector and the first team.

The striker enjoyed his best goalscoring season in his final season with the Biancocelesti, earning a move to Monaco, and he has spent two seasons on loan, with the Nerazzurri in the 2018-19 season and then with Sampdoria last season.

It remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri will do a deal for the 26-year-old, but Inzaghi would be happy were that to be the case.
