There is little clarity as to whether Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen will be able to return to a football pitch, with the Nerazzurri awaiting the 29-year-old’s return to Milan where he will undergo potentially-illuminating medical tests.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that more will be known about whether the Dane can play for Inter again only when more details are ascertained about his condition through medical tests.

The key question after the Danish playmaker’s medical emergency during the EURO 2020 group stage match between Denmark and Finland is whether he will be permitted by the FIGC (the Italian FA’s technical-scientific committee) to return to the pitch.

For the time being, all that can be done is wait, as the midfielder’s return to Milan from Denmark and subsequent medical examinations should yield more insight about the health and safety grounds for his potential return for the Nerazzurri.
