Inter are hoping to offload midfielder Arturo Vidal this summer with the Chilean not in the club’s plans for next season, and Argentine giants Boca Juniors could be his next destination.

This according to Italian news outlet la Repubblica, who report that the Argentine club have stepped up their pursuit of the out-of-favour Nerazzurri midfielder.

Vidal joined Inter last summer from Barcelona, making thirty appearances in all competitions, but it appears that he is already on the fringes at the club, with the 34-year-old not considered likely to play a major role in Simone Inzaghi’s project next season.

The €6.5 million net salary owed on the remainder of the Chilean’s contract has added impetus to the Nerazzurri’s desire to part ways with him, and it is thought that the club are actively seeking a solution that would see him depart.

Boca now appear to be among the most likely destinations for Vidal, with the club having taken steps towards his signing, though his salary could still be an obstacle for the Argentine club.
