Inter Goalkeeper Andrei Radu: “I Won’t Reveal My Secrets On How To Save Penalties”

Inter goalkeeper Andrei Radu has spoken about his penalty-saving ability after scoring two penalties in a recent friendly against Lugano.

Speaking to Inter TV, as reported by FCInter1908, the Romanian keeper emphasized the importance of hard work in training above all else, though he hinted that more went into his approach to shotstopping.

The 24-year-old remains at Inter despite links to a number of clubs during the transfer window, and should he stay with the Nerazzurri for next season then he will hope that he can impress in the opportunities that he is given behind first-choice keeper Samir Handanovic.

If Radu can save penalties as well as he did in the recent friendlies when he faces them in competitive action, then he can make a very positive impression.

It is the attitude towards work and training which will be most important in his attempts to cement a place for himself at the Giuseppe Meazza going forward, however.

On the penalty stops against Lugano, he stated “My secret cannot be told of course. But in general, the secret is to work well in training so that you remember what to do during the match on the pitch. I always try to do my best every day, and this is the most important thing in my opinion.”
