Inter target Nahitan Nadnez looks set to return to Cagliari training on Wednesday, though talks are ongoing and the Nerazzurri are hopeful of securing a deal for the 25-year-old.

This according to today’s print edition of Cagliari-based newspaper L’Unione Sarda, who report that the Uruguayan’s post-Copa America holidays are set to be complete, while his future at club level hangs in the balance.

Nandez has agreed terms on a deal with the Nerazzurri on a deal that would see him earn a net of €3 million per season, although an agreement is yet to be reached between clubs for his move.

The two clubs are in talks over a paid loan move with a purchase option, although the exact sums involved for the loan and optional permanent fee are in question.

The Rossoblu are asking for €8 million for the initial loan, with an additional €20 million to make the loan a permanent stay, while the Nerazzurri are currently only offering €2-3 million with €20-25 million on the permanent purchase.

It remains to be seen if the clubs can come together on the amounts involved, but for now the Uruguayan remains a Cagliari player and will be training with the Sardinian club.
