Young Inter full-back Davide Zugaro has signed for Serie C club Virtus Verona on loan.

This is officially announced by the club, via Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 21-year-old will play for Virtus during the upcoming season.

Zugaro joined Inter’s youth sector from the youth ranks of Pescara in 2018, though he is yet to make a senior appearance with the Nerazzurri.

Last season the full-back experienced his first full season of senior football, on loan in Serie C with Lombard club Giana Erminio, and he is set to return to the Italian third division for another season with Virtus.

It is not yet clear what the long-term future will look like for the 21-year-old Italian, though both the Nerazzurri and the player will hope that his loan spell in Verona will give him the opportunity to develop his talents and that he can grow into the senior game.
