Young Inter striker Samuele Mulattieri looks set to depart for Serie B side Crotone on loan for next season.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that only theĀ  signatures remain on a loan move which will see the 20-year-old return to Italy to play in Serie B with the Calabrian club hoping to bounce straight back up after their relegation from the top flight last season.

Mulattieri enjoyed a fruitful spell on loan with Dutch second division side Volendam last season, scoring 18 goals from thirty appearances, and he won a number of admirers for his form.

Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen and EFL Championship club Nottingham Forest had been among the clubs following the young striker, but it appears to be Crotone who are leading the chase for his signature.

The player is expected to travel to Calabria to sign his contract with the club, with whom the Nerazzurri will hope he can further develop in the senior game and within Italian football.
