Despite being reluctant to sanction such a deal, Cagliari may be willing to yield to Inter’s requests to take midfielder Nahitan Nandez on loan before committing to a permanent transfer next year.

As reported by CagliariNews24.com, President Tommaso Giulini favours an immediate sale but is warming to the idea of sanctioning an initial loan with an obligatory purchase agreement to be activated next summer.

Inter would be required to pay €2-3 million to take Uruguay international Nandez on loan, whilst the Nerazzurri would then be expected to pay a substantial fee to complete the transfer at the end of the season.

Such a deal would also see no players move to Cagliari on loan in order to balance the payments and the agreement would strictly involve Nandez only.

The former Boca Juniors midfielder is set to return to training with the Isolani early next week following his involvement in the Copa America, as Inter continue to negotiate with Cagliari.
