Inter are set to step up their preseason training with the return of more senior players next week, including strikers Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.

According to L’Interista.it, new coach Simone Inzaghi will be boosted by the arrivals of more players who had featured in international tournaments this summer, with midfielders Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino reporting back on Monday, along with Lukaku and Sanchez.

The return to training has been staggered due to some players going further into tournaments than others, with Lukaku reaching the quarter-finals of Euro 2020 with Belgium.

Sanchez and Vidal reached the same stage of the Copa America with Chile before being eliminated by Brazil, whilst Vecino was also a quarter-finalist before his Uruguay side lost on penalties to Colombia.

Italian internationals Nicolo Barella and Alessandro Bastoni, who lifted the Euro 2020, and Argentine Copa America champion Lautaro Martinez, are not due back for a further 10 days after being granted an extended holiday.
