Inter will focus their attention on securing a deal for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez after seeing moves for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and Denzel Dumfries of PSV stall, Italian media report.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, and as reported by, the Nerazzurri have been able to strike a deal with Premier League club Arsenal for their Spanish right-back Hector Bellerin.

It is a similar story with PSV, who have so far rejected Inter’s approaches for their Dutch international Dumfries, as the Nerazzurri seek a replacement for Achraf Hakimi.

Having been dealt such blows in their pursuit of a new right-back, Pedulla suggests that Inter are ready to change their focus to central midfield and will prioritise landing Nandez before working on strengthening other areas of the team.

The Uruguay international is thought to be keen on a move to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza and Inter are working on the structure of a deal with Cagliari, who are open to letting him go should they receive players on loan in return.
