Full-back Marcos Alonso is determined to leave Chelsea this summer and has his sights set on a switch to Inter.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spanish international has become disillusioned with life at Stamford Bridge after falling behind Ben Chilwell and Emerson Palmieri in the pecking order for left-back.

Alonso’s agent, Fali Ramadani, is currently in Milan but has not yet met with Inter, and negotiations between the two clubs has cooled since Chelsea offered him as part of a deal for Achraf Hakimi, before the Moroccan ultimately joined Paris Saint-Germain.

There are also no scheduled meetings between Inter and the Premier League club to discuss a deal at this stage.

However, Alonso has made it clear that he desires a move and a guarantee of more first-team opportunities, with an eye on Inter, and the Nerazzurri are poised to swoop.

Chelsea are holding out for €15-20 million and would only be willing to sanction a permanent sale of the 30-year-old former Fiorentina player.
