Inter are set to meet Cagliari this week to attempt to force a breakthrough in their attempts to sign midfielder Nahitan Nandez and may include players in exchange.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are struggling to find an agreement for the Uruguayan and are unable to meet Cagliari’s €30 million valuation.

In order to bring that cost down, the Nerazzurri could make a fresh offer with two players included in an exchange as they try to finalise long-running negotiations.

Inter are ready to include midfielder Lucien Agoume after he impressed on loan at Spezia last season, whilst the total fee could be brought down further by the inclusion of 22-year-old striker Andrea Pinamonti.

The forward was limited to just eight Serie A appearances last season, with the majority of his playing time coming after Inter had won the Scudetto, and appears set for a loan move away this term.
