Former Inter forward Keita Balde is determined to return to the club this summer, as the Nerazzurri consider a move for the Monaco player.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of French outlet Foot Mercato, negotiations between Inter and the Ligue 1 club could begin shortly after the player made clear his desire to return to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Keita spent a season on loan at Inter in 2018/19, but worked with coach Simone Inzaghi at previous club Lazio prior to his switch to France, and would like to reunite with him.

The 26-year-old only has a year remaining on his contract at Monaco and a transfer is thought to be within Inter’s price range, increasing the possibility of the Senegal international securing a return.

Keita has been used sparingly since joining Monaco in 2017 and has only been at the club for two seasons, having spent last term in Serie A on loan at Sampdoria, in addition to his season with Inter.
