Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal’s future remains up in the air, with a mutual agreement on the termination of his contract a serious possibility.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have not received any offers for the 34-year-old who they would like to part ways with this summer.

Vidal arrived at Inter last summer from Barcelona, but the club are already considering him to be out of their plans, with the salary of €6.5 million net plus add-ons on the final year of his contract considered excessive.

At the moment, despite the interest of a number of clubs including Brazilian giants Flamengo, no concrete offers have arrived for the midfielder whose wages could prove a major obstacles to any clubs looking to sign him.

The player will arrive in training today, where he will be working with the rest of the Nerazzurri squad for the time being, but it is expected that the Nerazzurri will hold talks with him soon, and that an agreement on the termination of his contract would not be an unlikely outcome.
